About Canggu
Canggu village is located about 15 minutes from the hip
crowd of Seminyak and 15 minutes
from Tanah Lot temple, is an
old-fashioned fishermen village
featuring one of the most
untouched beaches on the
southwest coast of Bali, back to
the traditional Bali and away
from the hustle and bustle of
international tourism.
The beach in Canggu is secluded
with no beach vendors, the waves
are great for surfing, and there
are rice paddies dotted with
private villas, an indigenous
hotel called Tugu by the ocean,
and a temple called Batu Bolong
(meaning a rock with a hole).
This is a great place if you
want to experience the more
authentic, romantic and
natural side of Bali, while
being in close proximity of chic
and international selection of
restaurants and nightlife.
Riding on a horseback enjoying
the red sunset over the Indian
Ocean, biking through the rice
fields, indulging in tropical
spas, candlelit dining by the
wild ocean, reading a good book
and listening to the crashing
waves are some of the activities
that you can do in Canggu when
you don't feel like shopping and
walking around in Seminyak.
